               yana is one of the best tourist places of karnataka which is 60 kms from Karwar District. Yana is famous for two massive rocks they are⇰

  • Bhairaveshwara Shikhara(hill)⇨                                                         It is 120 meters(390 feet) in height
  • Mohini Shikhara (hill)⇨                                                                      It is 90 meters(300 feet) in height

                       Yana is also known as a pilgrimage centre because of the cave temple is present below the Bhairaveshwara shikhara. Yana is also tourist place thousands of people are attracted towards it. There is no hotel or restaurants to have food only small tea stalls are there. We have to park our vehicles outside the entrance of this place and the parking charges has also been taken for small vehicles as well as large vehicles. This huge stones have been attracting thousands of tourists towards it.This huge rocks are composed of Solid Black Crystalline Karst Limestone. And the road to yana is very bad and no government bus facility is available We have to make take our own vehicles or cabs.

History⏯                                                                                                It was said that at the time of the 1801 there were the population of more than 10000 people and as the years passed all the people have migrated towards the cities. At present there are only few families who lived there. When a popular kannada movie called NAMMORA MANDHARA HOOVE was shot here this place become one of the tourist places in karnataka

Festivals↪                                                                                              Every year Maha Shivratri is held at this place for 10   days. more than 10000 people come to worship  the lord Mahabaleshwara and this place is also called as Bhairavakshetra.                     


when we are returning from this place we can also see the Vibhuti Falls which is also one of the tourist spot of uttarkannada many people in rainy season come to see this beauty with huge water falling from the top of the hill
